The enemy: A Closer Look

I always tell people you gotta know your enemy. You should know your enemy because if you don't know your enemy then you don't know yourself.

This scene popped into my mind in a vision I was given earlier today from God along with these words. I thought I'd share. I was able to find a picture that resembled it pretty quickly even! An excerpt from the current story I've been writing.

She had noticed them immediately as she raised her head to breathe in the unusually cool air. They stopped her in her tracks and she nearly fell over as she missed the steep step-down on the broken sidewalk.  There were many of them and they hovered still in the sky as far as her eye could see. They were smooth, ice-grey disks with no other defining features. They almost blended in with the grey of the sky, but they were so big that they could not be missed. Carissa stared up at them, open-mouthed, hardly believing what she was seeing and hardly believing that no one else was seeing this as she wildly whipped her head around to see if anyone else was gaping up at the sky. The old lady in her yard across the street was watering her plants. The school girl in her blue uniform further up the street was giggling at her phone. The lanky man wearing a graphic t-shirt and ridiculously sagged jeans swerved around her on the sidewalk, shooting her an annoyed glance as he passed. Trinidadians were known for making a scene when they saw something out of the ordinary.  Maybe she was just seeing things.

 Desert -- NOT Dessert

We’re nine (9) days into Lent, but whose counting? Me! I’m numbering the days to Easter in my journal. The end of this season isn’t even in sight yet. Do I sound whiny? “PLEASE, just one tiny taste of chocolate!!” I may sound whiny but I’m really not. I know I need this season — inside and out! Lent is the time when I, with purpose and on purpose, make changes. It’s a personal time of interior…

The Lord woke me up with this thought in my mind on April 24th, 2022: "You can't mix random ingredients to create a great meal or dessert. Everything has it's place. Including things when you're constructing, building, or repairing."

We need to serve the Lord WHOLEHEARTEDLY! We can't have a schedule when it comes to serving the Lord Jesus Christ. Never give one day to your flesh. Never say, "Jesus, yesterday I served you, tomorrow is my day."

Don't give half of your life or heart to Jesus Christ. When things are bleak in your life, don't just use that time to seek Jesus. When things are sunshine and rainbows, you completely dismiss the One who blessed you. Through the good and bad, the little and much, ALWAYS wholeheartedly serve and seek Jesus Christ. Nothing in the world is forever. What you do, see, hear, taste, and experience from this world is only momentarily. It won't last.

But the things from Jesus Christ will never cease to end.
